Art & Photojournalism- Inspired WEDDING Photography
for the moments in between
My Wedding Photography Style
There’s a certain quality to natural moments you can never really replicate in a staged photo. Where personalities, quirks and real emotion unveil and life brings surprises no direction could capture. Photojournalism captures life as it is, and that’s the beautiful pulse I really want to bring to wedding photography. That said, my style isn’t pure photojournalism because we also want to level up the elegance on your big day. It’s why I like to say it’s “photojournalism-inspired with an arts twist”. Maybe that sounds all a bit haughty but hear me out!…
For the classic & that quirky in-between time
My approach blends photojournalism with personal touches—lots of candid moments, real emotion and fun angles, but I leave space for traditional portraits and direction to help you find flattering light, and some cool backgrounds that suit your style.
Natural moments are wonderful, but if we can get them happening in a place with great light, without your uncle’s back to the camera, and some hints about how to show off your dress, your photos will look wonderful too. The result is often a unique and gorgeous fusion of loose photojournalism with an editorial aesthetic. You get the natural & the unique, but you don’t have to sacrifice elegance. See my photo galleries below for more.
Second Photographer Contact
Often I’ll be hired by other photographers to work along side their wedding shoot for the day to bring in extra angles. If you’re a photographer looking to hire a second for the day, inquire here.

Candid moments and fun with friends or family. Inside jokes or figuring out buttons. Moments of reflection and taking a breath or two. The general calm or chaos before the big day makes for images you wont forget.
Getting
READY
BRIDE & GROOM
We find a location that means something to you, or nice light for natural portraits. But my favourites by far are the moments in between where I catch you forgetting about the camera.
CEREMONY
Whether you’re tying the knot in a traditional setting with a spiritual ritual or a favourite landscape with your friend as the officiant, you can let your friends and family put their phones away and take it all in. I look to capture the emotional moments, the details and the energy during the ceremony for you so your favourite aunt can stop worrying about her flash.
YOUR
PEOPLE
We can take those group shots of you and your wedding party to make sure we document everyone looking their best. But I also believe in people being themselves.
Reception &
Party Time
Speeches and letting loose on the dance floor. The moments after the quiet when things get loud. Candid photos on the dance floor can be some of the most memorable shots from the day.
